The forest where your child learns to read Lithuanian

„Ugio mokyklėlė“ takes a child the whole way: letters, syllables, words, sentences, short books they read on their own. Every voice in the forest speaks English. Every letter, syllable and word the child reads is Lithuanian.

Made for families raising Lithuanian children far from Lithuania, where the reading has to come from home.

From one letter to a whole book

It starts with the letters.

Every letter here has a sound of its own. In this game the child stands in the Town Hall Square of Vilnius and catches the balloons carrying „o“.

The first one comes after eight letters.

Once the reading starts, the forest writes.

The animals stop speaking aloud and start writing instead. What each of them is asking for, the child reads for themselves, and reading turns into an ordinary day.

You see what your child has learned

Every family gets a progress card: a link that opens in a browser, written in English. It holds the letters your child knows, the ones still giving them trouble, and the minutes they played.
